Chase Utley will not play this week

Chase Utley has been nursing a sore ankle that he injured in mid-January during a workout in San Francisco. Already ruled out against the Yaknees tomorrow, Utley likely wont play this entire week. His ankle is still swollen and Utley and the Phillies are erring on the side of caution to make sure he's ready to play when the season opens. (CSNPhilly.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Utley has been dealing with a chronic knee condition the past few seasons and while he appears to have that under control, will need extra rest this season. Utley, at 36 years of age, played in 155 games last season but clearly struggled after the end of May. Utley is still one of the best offensive second basemen in the league, and should continue to put up solid fantasy numbers this season.
