Max Fried takes the loss in Game 6 on Saturday

by Jon Mathisen | Braves Correspondent | Sat, Oct 17th 11:05pm EDT

Max Fried took his first loss of the postseason on Saturday when he allowed three runs on eight hits with five strikeouts and four walks over 6 2/3 innings in the Braves 3-1 loss to the Dodgers in Game 6 of the NLCS.

Fantasy Impact:

Fried surrendered all three of his runs in the first inning when he allowed back-to-back homers to Corey Seager and Justin Turner, respectively, then gave up an RBI single to Cody Bellinger. The left-hander wasn't his most efficient as the Dodgers logged eight hits off him and he issued four free passes. The Braves offense was nowhere to be found and the Dodgers took the win to force a Game 7 on Sunday. Fried won't pitch again this year unless the Braves reach their first World Series since 1999.
