Bobby Parnell begins Class-A rehab assignment tonight

Parnell is coming off of Tommy John surgery and, assuming all goes well with rehab, can be expected to rejoin the Mets in late-April/early-May. (Adam Rubin on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Parnell poses a possible threat to Jeurys Familia's current hold on the closer role. If Familia is unable to run with the role in the next couple of weeks, it wouldn't be surprising to see Terry Collins reinstate Parnell as closer. Familia would then move back to the 8th inning set-up role. Familia owners should consider stashing Parnell in a DL slot, assuming league rules allow them to do so.
