Clayton Kershaw strikes out 12 in win

by Stan Son | Dodgers Correspondent | Sat, Apr 18th 1:58am EDT

Clayton Kershaw struck out 12 Rockies in six innings Friday night at Chavez Ravine. He allowed six hits, walked one, threw a wild pitch, and gave up three runs (one earned). The only blemish on the night was the two home runs by Troy Tulowitzki and Charlie Blackmon.

Fantasy Impact:

The first three innings were vintage Kershaw. At one point, he struck out five straight batters. Then he allowed a homer in the fourth to Tulo and a homer to the lefty Blackmon in the fifth. Kershaw allowed one lefty to homer off him last year and for his career, only 21 home runs allowed to lefties in 1076 plate appearances. Kershaw is slowly rounding into form and those that paid for his services will be rewarded very soon.
