Joel Peralta notches his third save

Joel Peralta pitched a clean inning for his third save of the season. He did not allow a hit but walked one. Six of his 11 pitches were thrown for strikes.
Fantasy Impact:
Justin Morneau just missed hitting a homer to centerfield and then Peralta walked Nolan Arenado on four pitches. He then buckled down and induced two pop-ups. Peralta is the closer until Kenley Jansen returns. That's not for another month so he can accumulate plenty of saves until then. He's earned Mattingly's trust, pounds the strike zone, and is mentally tough.
