Because of the injury to Brandon McCarthy, Scott Baker will remain with the major league club and pitch this weekend. Baker pitched a solid seven innings in a loss on Sunday. (Bill Plunkett on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Baker doesn't throw hard but won't beat himself. He will pound the strike zone, but whehen he's off it can be brutal as he doesn't have electric stuff. Fastball sits at 90-92 mph. In the right matchup, he could be useful. Keep an eye on who Mattingly matches him up against.
