Jason Hammel throws eight shutout innings

Cubs starter Jason Hammel tossed a gem Monday as he threw eight innings of no-run four-hit ball against the Pirates. Hammel walked none and struck out seven as he earned his second win of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Hammel's sterling outing dropped his ERA over 1.5 points as he sits at 3.55 for the season. Hammel has struck out at least five batters in each of his four starts and carries an amazing 23/1 K to BB rate through 25.1 innings pitched. Hammel is scheduled to pitch again next Monday against the Cardinals.
