After removing Cole Hamels from the game following 8 innings of work, Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg turned to Justin De Fratus to finish off the Nationals. De Fratus recorded 2 strikeouts without allowing a runner to reach base.
Fantasy Impact:
The situation was far from being a save, but De Fratus still looked sharp in his opportunity to end the game. Moving forward, this could be a first step in moving up the closer chart to 3rd behind Ken Giles and incumbent closer Jonathan Papelbon.
