Cole Hamels plans to pitch again

Hamels has pitched just three innings since 2020 as injuries have piled up. He ended the 2019 season with shoulder fatigue but pitched a strong 141.2 innings with a 3.81 ERA. The Braves signed him to a one-year deal, but he managed just 3.1 innings after dealing with triceps tendinitis and shoulder fatigue. He missed all of 2021 with shoulder issues and finally had surgery in November 2021. Hamels will likely be unavailable until at least mid-season but plans to pitch again.
