Keegan Akin inherits loss in spot start Monday

Keegan Akin (3-2) allowed two earned runs on two hits over 2 1/3 innings, inheriting the loss in game two of Monday's doubleheader. The left-hander struck out four and yielded one walk in the 42-pitch outing.
Fantasy Impact:
Akin was thrusted into the starting role Monday due to Jordan Lyles being a late scratch. The lefty pitched two scoreless innings until he was pulled in the third inning after allowing two base runners with only one out. The Alma native sits at a 2.86 ERA on the year and should assume his relieving role moving forward.
