Kenley Jansen was called upon for the save opportunity after Joel Peralta allowed two consecutive base hits. Maikel Franco welcomed Jansen into the game with a double that scored two. Both runs were charged to Peralta. Jansen then allowed a single to Ryan Howard, but then induced Domonic Brown into a game ending double play. Jansen did not record a walk or strikeout and threw 6-of-7 pitches for strikes.
Fantasy Impact:
Jansen has only blown one save on the season. He's now sporting a 2.86 ERA and 0.81 WHIP. He's struck out 50 batters while only issuing four walks in 28 1/3 innings. The only blemish so far has been that he's allowed five home runs.
