Ford went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before being lifted for a pinch-hitter in Sunday's crucial 9-8 loss to the Rangers and will begin another key series against the Astros on the bench Monday. The lefty-swinging DH has hit .227 but has provided 16 homers and an .800 OPS across 240 plate appearances this season.
