Brett Anderson gets rocked by the Nationals

by Stan Son | Tue, Aug 11th 12:17am EDT

Brett Anderson allowed seven earned runs on 10 hits Monday night against the Washington Nationals. Ian Desmond hit a two-run home run in the first inning, then the Nationals tagged Anderson for five runs in the sixth inning. He walked three and struck out one in five innings. 50-of-89 pitches were thrown for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

When Anderson's control is off, expect results like tonight. He's a soft tossing lefty that tries to induce ground balls. Tonight was the first time walking three batter since mid-June. On the season, he has a 3.43 ERA and 1.33 WHIP. He's tossed 13 quality starts in 22 games.
