Fantasy Impact:
Akin signed a one-year, $825K deal to avoid arbitration this offseason on the heels of a season that saw him struggle to a 6.85 ERA across just 23 2/3 innings with the O's in 2023. He posted a tidy 1.13 ERA across five Triple-A appearances (one start) but back injuries sidelined him for nearly three months to end his 2023 campaign.
