Nick Maton gets dealt from Tigers to Orioles

The Detroit Tigers have traded infielder Nick Maton to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for cash considerations. (Tigers PR on Twitter)

Maton was recently designated for assignment by the Tigers and his brief tenure with the club has come to a conclusion. The 26-year-old struggled mightily in his lone season with the Tigers following a trade with the Phillies as he hit just .173 with eight home runs across 93 games with the Tigers but also hit .293 with three homers and an .871 OPS across 38 games at Triple-A Toledo.
