Yariel Rodriguez allowed two earned runs over 3.2 innings in the Blue Jays' narrow 6-5 victory over the Royals.
Fantasy Impact:
He surrendered six hits and three walks while striking out only one batter. This outing has done little to reassure fantasy managers, as Rodriguez's ERA and WHIP for the season have been less than stellar. His high WHIP of 1.76 and a BABIP of .378 suggest he's been somewhat unlucky, but these numbers also indicate a tendency to allow too many baserunners, which is a red flag in fantasy circles. With a modest strikeout rate and a concerning strikeout-to-walk ratio, Rodriguez remains a risky play in most fantasy formats.
