Holding at center field during Saturday evening’s 3-2 loss to the Minnesota Twins, Carlos Gomez did not get a hit. He went 0-for-4 with a line out, ground out, fly out and strikeout all collectively in the game. Gomez has kept his average steady at .248 on the season.
Fantasy Impact:
While all great hitters go through a dry spell, this recent one for Gomez has lasted way to long. If he is to prove his case for why he was acquired, he will need to get that bat of his going soon, or face riding the bench going into October. Fantasy holders are advised not to even bother with Gomez.
