Indians outfielder Marlon Byrd has been suspended for 162 games by Major League Baseball for failing his test for performance enhancing drugs a second time. Byrd will not appeal the suspension. (Ken Rosenthal on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

At 38 years old, this is likely the nail in the coffin for Byrd's career. His first PED suspension was for 50 games in 2012 after testing positive for the steroid Tamoxifen. He then returned to smash 24 home runs and drive in 88 RBI as a New York Met and Pittsburgh Pirate in 2013. However, Byrd probably won't be returning from this one. Fellow Indians outfielder Abraham Almonte was also suspended for PEDs this season, receiving an 80 game suspension back in February.
