Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice is reportedly under investigation for allegedly hitting a photographer at a Dallas nightclub early Monday. (Source: Rachel Snyder, Rebecca Lopez, Joe Trahan, WFAA)

Fantasy Impact: Dallas police say they are investigating witnesses about the alleged nightclub assault, but not much more information is available at this time. Rice currently faces eight charges for a multi-car accident that occurred in Dallas in late March. There have been reports that Rice could face a multi-game suspension for the accident, but as these two situations work their way through the legal system, the NFL will likely be weighing things to determine whether or not Rice could miss regular season action in 2024.

The 27-year-old quarterback has faced injury-riddled seasons, but when healthy, he has been an MVP-level player and has shown that he can support two top-12 wide receivers in Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Veteran WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling is scheduled to visit with the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday. (Source: Ari Meirov on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The Chargers completely reset at WR this offseason, moving on from WRs Mike Williams and Keenan Allen. With a WR room of Joshua Palmer, Quentin Johnston and DJ Chark Jr. — and rookies Ladd McConkey, Brenden Rice and Cornelius Johnson — the Chargers could use further veteran help. Not much more should be expected from Valdes-Scantling beyond vertical field-stretching and occasional splash plays, but it's a role the team could use within a rotation if they sign together.

Chase Claypool signing with Bills

Fri, May 3rd 11:39am EDT
By Leo Sells

Chase Claypool is signing a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Claypool has been on three different teams over the past two seasons, and now he's signing a one-year deal to join the Bills. He has totaled just 528 yards and two touchdowns over the past couple of seasons, but with Buffalo being thin at the wide receiver position, he may have a chance to make an impact. The added depth is good for QB Josh Allen, who will be without both Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis for the first time in several years.

Odell Beckham Jr. is signing a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Beckham has been weighing his options for a while now, but he has finally come to the decision to sign with the Miami Dolphins. He was reportedly offered more money to sign elsewhere, but he declined it because he likes how he fits with Miami. He will be behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle on the depth chart, but he will likely be the WR3 for the team with a reasonable chance to be fantasy relevant in the case of an injury. His presence will also snuff out any hope for a rookie year breakout from Malik Washington or Tahj Washington, both of whom Miami got in the NFL Draft.

Chark will look to supply a veteran presence and a deep ball threat to a young Chargers wide receiver room that mostly consists of inexperienced pass catchers.

Najee Harris' fifth-year contract has been declined by the Steelers as he enters his fourth year in the league. (Source: Gerry Dulac on X)

Fantasy Impact: Harris' impact on the field has varied greatly throughout his career in Pittsburgh. During his rookie year, Harris totaled 1200 rushing yards and just under 500 passing yards, but he has not been able to meet or surpass either of those marks in the subsequent years. While injuries have likely contributed to his inefficiencies, the Steelers haven't seen enough to option him for his fifth year. Harris looks to remain the early down and goal line back for the Steelers going into his final contract year. Meanwhile, running mate Jaylen Warren remains the more explosive option in the Steelers rushing attack as the offense gets a new starting quarterback and new offensive coordinator.
