Andre Johnson returns to the Texans, and to fanstasy relevance

by Christopher Pryor | Fri, Jul 25th 2:11am EDT

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports that Andre Johnson was present for the first day of training camp, effectively ending his offseason holdout. Discontentment with the organization had led to Johnson missing OTA's and a mandatory minicamp. Despite his absence, Johnson had remained in contact with the team, and now that he has reported to training camp, the offense returns to normal. (NFL.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Andre Johnson showed last year that despite his age, he can still be extremely productive. He saw the second-most targets of any wideout with 181, and still managed to finish 12th in scoring despite a total collapse at the quarterback position. Factor in an offensive innovator and a mediocre quarterback in need of a safety blanket, and Johnson is primed for another productive season. The only question was whether he would even play this season, so news that he is back with the team vaults his fantasy value to its rightful place with the very best WR's in the league.
