Davante Adams

Adams finally lives up to the hype

by Dakota Mitchell | Raiders Correspondent | Fri, Aug 29th 3:39pm EDT

Rookie wide receiver Davante Adams had a quiet start to training camp for a second-round draft pick, but his progress showed Thursday night when he exploited a seam in the Kansas City defense for a 22-yard touchdown pass over the middle from Matt Flynn. (PackersNews.com)

Fantasy Impact:

After being pretty nonexistent throughout preseason, Adams hauled in two catches for 35 yards and a touchdown Thursday night. The second round draft pick was expected to make a push for the 3rd WR spot, displacing Boykin, at the beginning of camp. However, he never seemed to make much of an impression. With a high powered offense, 4th WR in GB may be worth a late round pick in 12-man leagues, which is where Adams figures to sit at the moment. If you are in keeper/dynasty leagues, Adams could be a strong candidate to draft as well, considering Cobb is in a contract year and may not return next season. If nothing else, keep an eye on Adams in the case someone ahead of him should go down.
