Crockett Gillmore suffers injury Friday

by Anthony Cervino | Sun, Jul 30th 7:38am EDT

Baltimore Ravens beat writer Jeff Zrebiec is reporting tight end Crockett Gillmore (knee) is "dealing with a potentially significant" knee injury suffered at a training camp practice Friday. (Jeff Zrebiec on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Already down two tight ends -- Baltimore lost Dennis Pitta to a hip and Darren Waller to a year-long suspension -- Gillmore is the latest Ravens player to potentially succumb to a long-term injury. Zrebiec is reporting that the 25-year-old TE sustained a knee injury Friday that could be "serious." Although the ultimate severity of the injury has not yet been determined, Gillmore's reaction after suffering it Friday made it seem like he could miss an extended period of time. Gillmore "immediately went down to the ground after catching a pass late in Friday’s practice," Zrebiec said via the Baltimore Sun. "He hobbled off the field and spiked his helmet when he reached the sideline." At this point, I fully expect Baltimore to address the TE position sooner rather than later. Gary Barnidge and Larry Donnell are both available on the open market.
