Seattle hopes to shut down Greg Olsen again

by Kevin C. Wilson | Sat, Jan 10th 2:53pm EST

After limiting Carolina tight end Greg Olsen to just one catch for 16 yards in their first matchup in October, the Seahawks defense will hope to hold him in check again during Saturday's divisional playoff game. Seattle linebacker K.J. Wright said limiting Olsen was one of the major reasons they were able to defeat the Panthers 13-9 in their Week 8 matchup. (Seattle Times)

Fantasy Impact:

Olsen's first game against Seattle was his worst performance of the year. His one catch tied for his lowest single-game production of the season and his 16 yards were his fewest in a game since November 10, 2013. If the Panthers are going to be successful on Saturday, quarterback Cam Newton will need to find a way to get the ball in the hands of his most consistent target. If Newton is able to do that then Olsen could prove to be a solid starter at tight end for fantasy owners this weekend.
