Washington needs to decide what to do with Kirk Cousins

This season is a contract year for Cousins, just like it is for Robert Griffin III. During last season's six-game sample size of Cousins, we saw him flash greatness against Jacksonville and Philadelphia, but he also threw a combined seven interceptions against the Giants and Cardinals. He looked like the team's best quarterback last season and had the best command of the offense, but he had a tendency to be very inconsistent and make terrible decisions again and again. The main question in regards to the future of both Griffin and Cousins is which guy provides the better chance to win in the future. The team also needs to figure out what Cousins' value is to them, as well as how much other QB-needy teams value him. The Redskins have three options on their plate. First, they could trade him before he becomes a free agent and at least get something in return for him. Philadelphia can use him for depth, and Tenneessee, Tampa Bay, Cleveland, and the New York Jets could all use his help as a starter. Second, the Redskins could pick up a free agent QB this season who they think has more potential than Cousins does, if any of them do. Lastly, Cousins should be cheap to retain, so they could just keep him and try to develop him more. Stay tuned.
