Alexander Mattison logs just four touches in Week 2

Minnesota Vikings rookie running back saw just four touches in the Minnesota Vikings loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Fantasy Impact:

With Dalvin Cook looking fully healthy and as a result like one of the best running backs in football, Alexander Mattison was out touched 23-4. The impressive rookie from Boise State does not figure to see his role expand much in the near future. Mattison is talented back who is spot starter ready, but does not possess the ability to threaten Cook’s workhorse role. Mattison took his four carries for 25 yards and would be staring an increased workload in the face in almost any other backfield in the NFL. Mattison is a dynasty hold and one of the very best handcuffs in the league. Those in deep leagues should continue to stash him if possible, but those in shallower formats who do not own Dalvin Cook should feel free to work the waiver wire.
