Bears to re-sign Jimmy Clausen

by Dale Redman | Fri, Mar 6th 11:46am EST

According to sources, the Bears are re-signing Jimmy Clausen. The former Golden Domer started one game for Chicago in 2014 as former coach Marc Trestman benched Jay Cutler. Clausen threw for 181 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in his only start of 2014. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

It is safe to assume the Bears are sticking with Clausen as he proved to be a viable backup to Cutler. With a thin free agent quarterback market, it makes sense for the Bears to stick with Clausen. With Cutler's huge guaranteed salary, expect him to return as starter with Clausen on the second-team.
