DeMarco Murray gets respect from Eagles

by James Brimacombe | Thu, Apr 30th 11:23am EDT

After the Eagles making a big splash with bringing in DeMarco Murray on a five-year $40 million dollar deal and the Eagles trading away star RB LeSean McCoy the question remains if this is an upgrade or downgrade? We keep hearing Murray is more of a Chip Kelly type of RB as he doesn't dance in the backfield and hits the holes fast. (CSNPhilly.com)

Fantasy Impact:

In 2014, McCoy ran for no gain or less 22.1 percent of the time, and Murray did 18.4 percent of the time. This is the exact thing Kelly is wanting out of his RB. There is some concern over Murray's usage last year as the Cowboys ran him 393 times for 1845 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. Those 393 rushing attempts were more than he had the prior 2 seasons combined (378 attempts in 24 games).
