Kirk Cousins held in check majority of Wild Card round loss

by Michael Vincent | Falcons Correspondent | Mon, Jan 11th 1:39pm EST

Kirk Cousins completed 29 of his 46 passes for 329 yards and one touchdown in the Redskins' 35-18 loss to the Packers on Sunday. He also ran one score in, fumbled twice, and lost one. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Cousins should have had a second TD pass if DeSean Jackson held the ball in his left hand instead of his right in the first quarter, but his lack of playoff experience and lack of pocket awareness was the difference this game. He was sacked six times and fumbled twice, one being a backbreaking turnover. While Cousins experienced late season success, the Redskins played 13 of their 16 games against teams that finished under .500, and only one team over .500 in their last eight games. Next year, playing a first place schedule will give a better indication of where Cousins and the Redskins really are in terms of the NFL's hierarchy.
