No Welker and matchup begs for tons of scoring, so he's a lock for numbers.

- Kevin Roberts, Breaking Football

Shaky status still but even red-zone packages gives him top 5 upside.

- Kevin Roberts, Breaking Football

The Colts were the 4th ranked fantasy tight end defense last year, but I think that flies out the window with the suspension of DE Robert Mathis. I really question if the Colts will be able to generate a pass rush and if they cannot, Manning can find any target.

- Derek Lofland, Fantasy Football Maniax

Gronk appears to be healthy headed into the season and when he is healthy, he is a target machine. Confidently start him this week in Miami, the Dolphins allowed the fifth most points to fantasy tight ends last year.

Talk of a limited snap count, but that doesn't mean you sit him.

- Staff Rankings, 2MugsFF

Make sure he's active on game day, but it sounds like he'll at least play on a snap count.

- Austin Lee, FootballGuys

With no Wes Welker, Thomas will have more chances to assert himself in the offense and build on the numbers he put up against the Colts last season (41 yards and a score).

- Tom Schriner, FFLockerRoom

(Breaking News - Officially active for Week 1) He said, Im ready to go. Ill be playing. And if he does play at 100%, Tom Brady will continue to look his way on big plays and in the red zone.

- Tom Schriner, FFLockerRoom

"When he plays, he pays."
