FanDuel NHL Lineup Advice: Thursday (3/22)

FanDuel NHL Lineup Advice: Thursday (3/22)

We have a massive 10-game slate tonight and should be in for a very high-scoring night since there are six games with over-unders at six or higher. This means stacking should be huge, and you will want some exposure to the best teams on the slate, focusing in on those in high-scoring games.

Center

Kyle Turris (NSH): $5,300 vs. TOR
Turris is the first part of a Predators stack we are looking at tonight, which is centered around the second forward line. They also have a bit of power-play correlation, and shared ice time means the potential for double-dipping on points. He has five points over his last four games and is taking about two shots per game, which means value from multiple categories. They are up against the Maple Leafs who are giving up about three goals per game, putting Nashville in a nice spot for some points.

Nicklas Backstrom (WAS): $6,900 @ DET
Backstrom is on the top line for the Capitals, who as we all know, are one of the best offensive teams in the league, so getting a part of them into your lineup is a good call. He is on the top forward line and the first power-play unit and has eight points over his last six games.

Wing

Craig Smith (NSH): $5,600 vs. TOR
Smith is the next part of this Predators stack. With this game having and over-under set at six, you are going to want some players in this one. The Predators are one of the best teams in the league, and with Smith being on the second forward line and the power-play, he has plenty of upside. Smith has four points in his last three games and is taking nearly three shots per game.

Kevin Fiala (NSH): $5,000 vs. TOR
Fiala is the rising young star for the Predators, and with his cheaper price, he offers some nice value for this stack. He has three points in his last four games, is taking over two shots per game, and can block a shot every now and then. The ice time correlation is high with these players, so if they are scoring, you will more than likely have exposure.

Alex Ovechkin (WAS): $8,800 @ DET
What else can you say about Ovechkin? This man is a hat trick waiting happen any night, and when you have the salary for him, he’s a tough player to pass on. Ovechkin and the Capitals are up against the Red Wings, who are truly on a massive slide right now. They simply aren’t good, and with this matchup, you want all the exposure to the Capitals you can get. He is taking over four shots per game and is coming off a massive 38 FD point game.

Clayton Keller (ARI): $5,900 @ CAR
Keller and the Coyotes are playing some really nice hockey as of late. Despite being one of the worst teams in the league, they are providing value in the DFS world. He has a six-game point streak going right now, and with him being on the first forward line and first power-play, he has upside. Arizona is going up against the Hurricanes, who are one of the weaker teams in the league and are giving up over three goals per game.

Defense

Ryan Ellis (NSH): $5,600 vs. TOR
Ellis is the last part of this Predators stack, and he is seeing time on the first defensive pairing, along with the second power-play. He is taking about three shots per game, blocking about two shots per game, and has four points over his last six games. With a full slate of games, he shouldn’t be too highly owned, giving him nice tournament upside.

Matt Niskanen (WAS): $4,400 @ DET
Niskanen is a bit of a punt play on this slate, but he does round out this stack nicely. He has three points in his last four games, which is a lot for him, but he is also taking almost two shots per game, and blocking over one shot per game. At the end of the day, he is up against a bad team and is on one of the best offensive teams in the league.

Goalie

Craig Anderson (OTT): $7,400 vs. EDM
Despite the Senators being bad this year, Anderson is playing strong hockey as of late. He is really a GPP option only since the Senators aren’t in a spot to be winning a ton of games. He has four wins in his last six games, and generally sees plenty of shots which gives him the potential for a ton of points.
