Week 7 kicked off with a bang as Deshaun Watson routed the Dolphins to a tune of 5 touchdowns on just 20 passes. Both of his top receivers had huge games as well so if you started any of the three, you are off to an incredible start, or perhaps you find yourself in a huge hole. Regardless, today I am here to offer my Week 8 rankings so you can get every single start/sit question answered. There is plenty that can change between now and Sunday’s kickoff so make sure to check back in, especially on injured players and their potential replacements. I’ll update these rankings every few hours up through the weekend and those changes will show up on this page. You can use the tabs for flex or even Superflex as well as half-PPR, PPR or standard leagues to help make your start/sit decisions. None of these rankings are done for hyperbole, but are the actual order I would play them in if it were my own lineup. If you have more questions, don’t hesitate to let me know on Twitter. The shorter you keep it, the more I can get to. Now before I show you all the rankings, let me tell you about four particular rankings that might surprise you and why I have them as I do.

Drew Brees (QB #14 vs ECR #9)
Over his past three weeks, Brees has only thrown 91 passes. Additionally, when the Saints get to the red zone lately, Taysom Hill has been subbing in for the inner-circle Hall of Famer. That isn’t to say Brees is playing bad, in fact, he is the only quarterback who hasn’t thrown an interception all season and his 77.3% completion rate is not only the best in the league by multiple standard deviations, but is on pace to destroy his own NFL single-season record. The matter of the fact, however, is that without opportunity, Brees won’t rack up the fantasy points, especially versus a defense like Minnesota. Just as you might expect, his 17.4 fantasy points per game in those past three weeks is a full 2 points lower than QB #12.
Raheem Mostert (RB #20 vs ECR #26)
It is becoming more and more unlikely that Matt Breida is going to play Sunday which means Mostert is expected to lead the 49ers in carries. He has outpaced Alfred Morris over each of the past two weeks and looks terrific in Kyle Shanahan’s offense that led Carlos Hyde to becoming a top 12 fantasy running back last year. Not only that, but Mostert has the best possible matchup this week versus the Arizona Cardinals and potentially San Francisco’s best running game script of the year. The Cardinals have allowed a league-leading 186 yards per game and 1.7 touchdowns per game to opposing running backs this year so don’t be surprised when Mostert continues his hot streak.
Devin Funchess (WR #44 vs ECR #31)
Funchess has had a solid start to his season with 29 receptions for 374 yards and 3 scores over his first 6 games. Each of those games, however, has been against a bottom-16 secondary, and suddenly this week, Carolina’a shaky pass-offense goes up against Baltimore, who might have the best secondary in football. Cam Newton is 31st in terms of passing yards per attempt this season and is near the bottom of the league in pass attempts so you’d have to think there won’t be much in the way of production available for Funchess or any of the Panthers’ receiving options this week.
C.J. Uzomah (TE #10 vs ECR #15)
Since Tyler Eifert went down for the season, Uzomah has stepped up and produced #10 fantasy tight end numbers. While there have been some quality matchups thrown in to help his progress, none were as easy as what he will see this weekend. The Tampa Bay Buccanneers are worst in the league, allowing 89.7 receiving yards per game to opposing tight ends and 0.7 touchdowns per game. While you won’t want to start Uzomah each week, or perhaps even one other week all season, Week 8 is an obvious exception.
