Welcome to the Tuesday edition of FanDuel lineup advice. Tonight’s slate features seven matchups to choose from. Once again there are a plethora of high-priced studs to choose from with eight players checking in with salaries of at least $10,000. As of this writing, the highest projected game total is a juicy 234.5 points in the showdown between the Pelicans and Rockets. Let’s take a look at some of the better plays for tonight.

Point Guard
Tomas Satoransky (WAS): $6,700
Satoransky has been coming into his own lately, dishing out at least eight assists in four consecutive games. He’s hit over 45 FanDuel points in two of his last three games, and best of all, he gets to play the Cavaliers tonight. Cleveland is giving up the second-most FD points to point guards on the season at just over 50 FD points. As long as Satoransky sees his typical run of at least 30 or more minutes, which he has in seven consecutive games, he should have no problem putting up enough FD points to be well worth the affordable $6,700 price tag.

Shooting Guard
Jrue Holiday (NO): $9,500
Holiday is one of the studs to pay up for tonight. We can start with the high expected point total I mentioned in the introduction to this article, then add in the fact that without Anthony Davis, Nikola Mirotic, E’Twaun Moore, and possibly Julius Randle, New Orleans is going to have to continue leaning on Holliday for production. He’s put up at least 43 FD points in seven of his last eight outings, with the only exception coming against the slow-paced Grizzlies. You should feel comfortable spending the $9,500 on Holiday tonight.
Others to consider:
Small Forward
Rudy Gay (SA): $6,000
Gay is another player that should be able to take advantage of a teammate’s absence tonight when DeMar DeRozan sits out again for the Spurs. He should be good to play for over 30 minutes tonight coming off of the rest day on Monday, and he’s put up 30.3, 35.3, and 44.7 FD points the last three games that he’s surpassed the 30-minute threshold. Anything over 30 points is substantial value for a player with a $6,000 price tag, and knowing that he has the potential to go much higher makes him a great play tonight.
Others to consider:
Power Forward
Kenneth Faried (HOU): $7,400
Faried has been a stud since joining the Rockets, and even with the price increase to $7,400, there’s no reason to stay away from him. As long as Clint Capella remains out with the thumb injury, Faried will get all he can handle in the Rockets lineup. He’s another player that should benefit from the high-scoring affair in Houston tonight, especially with Anthony Davis remaining out for the Pelicans. Julius Randle is a game-time decision as of this writing, but if he sits as well then Faried becomes an even better play.
Others to consider:
Center
Jahlil Okafor (NO): $7,200
You may be noticing a theme here; take advantage of the New Orleans injuries and the high points expected in their matchup with Houston tonight. The former lottery pick has put up at least 41 FD points in three of his last four games with Anthony Davis sidelined, including 54 on Saturday. Kenneth Faried might be an excellent DFS play tonight, but he isn’t going to slow down Okafor on defense. Even if Julius Randle does play, the two can coexist; Okafor but up 42 FD points with Randle playing his full allotment last week against Detroit. There’s no reason to avoid Okafor at $7,200
Others to consider:
If you start your lineup tonight with the five players I’ve highlighted, you’ll have an average of $5,800 per player to spend on your remaining four roster spots. As usual, keep an eye on the latest news and injuries leading up to tipoff. Good luck out there!
