Tonight’s contests will feature a deep slate of games as we have an 11-game Friday night. Tip-off starts at 7 p.m. EST with the last of the games beginning at 10:30 p.m. EST. The two teams to note are the Portland Trail Blazers and Miami Heat as both are operating on a back-to-back.

Point Guard
Luka Doncic (PG – DAL): $10,500 @ NYK
Doncic has played like an MVP through seven games, and that likely won’t stop tonight against the New York Knicks. The Knicks are ranked 24th in defensive rating, but they do play a slow brand of ball as they rank 27th in pace. Still, Doncic has a nice opportunity as the playmaker in Dallas against a weak defensive team that will miss their rim-protecting stud at center in Mitchell Robinson. Doncic is currently 19th in the league in usage rate, providing him with plenty of opportunities on the offensive end.

Raul Neto (PG – PHI): $3,700 @ DEN
You need to take the savings where you can get them, and in this case, it’s with Neto as starting point guard Ben Simmons has once again been ruled out. In his first start of the season against the Utah Jazz just two nights ago, Neto collected 25.6 FanDuel points, scoring 11 points and chipping in another three rebounds, four assists, and three steals. The matchup against the Denver Nuggets is an incredibly negative one as the Nuggets are ranked 10th in defensive rating and play with the slowest pace in the league, but the near-minimal cost for a starting point guard is hard to turn down with Neto.
Shooting Guard
Andrew Wiggins (SG – MIN): $7,100 @ GS
Wiggins leaves a lot to be desired as an actual player, but he’s done relatively well this season on DFS, and particularly in the past four contests. In his last game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Wiggins scored 47.4 FanDuel points, but that number was likely skewed with the absence of Jeff Teague due to injury. It sounds like Teague will suit up tonight, but the Warriors still represent the dead-last ranked team in defensive rating and 16th in pace. The Warriors are a terrible defensive team, leading me to prefer some Timberwolves exposure.
Jordan Clarkson (SG – CLE): $5,000 @ WAS
Like Wiggins, Clarkson is a volume-shooting guard who doesn’t offer much else, but he’s managed to reside near-value for nearly the entire season, proving his $5,000 price tag isn’t bad. The Wizards rank 27th in defensive rating and 8th in pace. The Wizards are bad on defense and are one of the fastest teams in the league. Both marks present Clarkson with an awesome opportunity to score a lot of points and to jack up a lot of shots.
Small Forward
Pascal Siakam (SF – TOR): $9,300 @ NO
Siakam is developing into a star right before our eyes and now gets a great matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Toronto Raptors faced the Pelicans on opening night, and Siakam put together a great contest which resulted in him scoring a season-high 62.1 FanDuel points. The Pelicans are ranked 29th in defensive rating and 6th in pace, with the Raptors ranking 12th in pace. This game has one of the highest implied totals of the night, both teams play fast, and the Pelicans are weak defensively. It’s the perfect opportunity for Siakam to explode.
OG Anunoby (SF – TOR): $6,000 @ NO
If you didn’t think I loved this matchup between the Raptors and Pelicans, think again. It’s risky to double-dip at the same position on the same team, but Anunoby – like Siakam – is developing into a great two-way player that’s capable of filling up a stat sheet. Anunoby is coming off a 41.7-point FanDuel performance in his last game against the Sacramento Kings, and benefits from the same great matchup that Siakam gets.
Power Forward
Kevin Love (PF – CLE): $9,300 @ WAS
Love is coming off a game in which he struggled, scoring only 39.3 FanDuel points, but he benefits from the same matchup as his teammate in Clarkson. The Wizards are bad defensively and play fast, providing Love with a nice opportunity to rebound from his worst performance in his last five games. Love has become a consistent player capable of contributing in all facets.
Nemanja Bjelica (PF – SAC): $4,700 @ ATL
Bjelica doesn’t have a great matchup as the Atlanta Hawks are ranked 8th in defensive rating and 17th in pace, but he is a cheap starter who’ll likely get to work offensively against one of the worst defenders in the league in Jabari Parker. Bjelica has scored 24+ FanDuel points in three of his past five contests.
Center
Bobby Portis (C – NYK): $4,400 @ DAL
With Mitchell Robinson being ruled out to injury, you could expect to see more minutes and usage for Portis, and maybe even an insertion into the starting lineup. Portis has started some games this season, but he has been a highly-volatile FanDuel option, scoring 50.2 FanDuel points in one game, though only 10.5 and 11.7 points in his past two contests. The Mavericks rank 18th in defensive rating and 22nd in pace. Neither mark is particularly juicy, but Portis has a chance to collect some good playing time and on a cheap salary.
