Fantasy basketball managers should be monitoring the situation in Detroit. The Pistons had a game canceled just before tipoff on Monday night, and they could be the next team looking at an extended spell on the sidelines.
Now is the time in the season that fantasy managers should be trying to plug holes in their roster. Evaluate what you have and what you need to take home the title. Here are five players that could be traded this week.

Buy
Here are three players to acquire during Week 7.
Robert Covington (POR – SF/PF/C)
It has been a bad start to the season for Covington. He sits 151st on the FantasyPros Player Rater as he is averaging just 6.5 points on 30.9 percent from the field. RoCo is a streaky player, though. He had a 17-game stretch last season where he shot 37.8 percent from the field and averaged just 10.9 points. Covington finished 24th on the Player Rater last season.
Now is the time to buy low. Offer a player ranked outside the top 100 and try to pry Covington away. His ability to create steals and blocks could push him up the rankings quickly. Do not miss out.
Mike Conley (UTH – PG)
Fantasy managers in most leagues left Mike Conley on the board way too long. He was coming off a disappointing first season in Utah that pushed his ADP down to 79. Conley has been a perennial top 40 talent, though.
The numbers have bounced back this season as Conley sits 35th on the Player Rater. Now is the time to buy, though. His managers may be feeling lucky that they got strong early production out of Conley. Offer a player ranked just outside the top 50 and grab Conley at a solid bargain.
Kemba Walker (BOS – PG)
It has been a rough first six games for Kemba Walker as he returns from injury. The veteran point guard is shooting 37.3 percent from the field and not playing his normal minute’s load. Fantasy managers could be getting frustrated, meaning now is the time to make an offer.
Kemba ranked 51st on the Player Rater last season. Expect him to finish inside the top 50 the rest of the way. Offer a player ranked outside the top 75, though. The goal is to buy low and get a nice value on Walker to help push your team up the standings.
Sell
Here are two players to move off of during Week 7.
Chris Paul (PHO – PG)
CP3 is currently 25th on the FantasyPros Player Rater. He is proving that last season was no fluke. The veteran point guard is offering elite assists and efficiency with his usual blend of steals and rebounds. Paul has played in every game so far.
Now is the time to shop Paul and see what you can get in return. He had gone three straight seasons playing 61 or fewer games before appearing in 70 a season ago. Try to trade CP3 before injury crops up. Do not move him unless you can get a top 36 player in return, though.
Gordon Hayward (CHA – SG/SF)
Hayward slipped too far in most drafts. He had a consensus ADP of 47th overall, but the veteran is the number one option in Charlotte. His efficiency remained as he is averaging 23.0 points per game thus far. Hayward’s incredible production has positioned him 18th on the Player Rater.
The steals and blocks are unlikely to last, though. Hayward might finish inside the top 30, but he will not be this good. Gauge his market value. Attempt to trade him to the team that is a bit light in points in your league. Hayward may net you a top 24 player, which you can use to make your way to a title.
