Tuesday’s main MLB DFS slate is robust. It includes 13 games on DraftKings and FanDuel, beginning at 7:05 pm ET. Tonight’s slate also has a bit of everything for everyone, including talented pitching and games at hitter-friendly parks, such as Coors Field and Fenway Park.

Tuesday's Starting Pitcher Strategy
A lefty ace is the premier pitcher on tonight's slate. However, an inconsistent righty facing a depleted lineup is an excellent option, too. Additionally, two righties in favorable matchups are GPP-friendly pivots.

A lefty ace is the premier pitcher on tonight's slate. However, an inconsistent righty facing a depleted lineup is an excellent option, too. Additionally, two righties in favorable matchups are GPP-friendly pivots.

Cash Game Recommendations:
Shane McClanahan (TB) at BAL
McClanahan has been exceptional this year. According to FanGraphs, in 18 starts totaling 110.2 innings, the lefty has had a 1.71 ERA, 2.01 xFIP, 0.80 WHIP, 4.6 BB%, 35.7 K% and 35.5 CSW%. As a result, he's a viable pick against any MLB lineup.
However, he has an excellent matchup tonight. The Orioles are tied for 23rd in wRC+ (91) against lefties in 2022. They've also had the third-highest strikeout rate (25.3 K%) against them, enhancing McClanahan's floor and ceiling. Thus, he's a superb pick in all game types.
Jose Berrios (TOR) vs. STL
Berrios is the no-doubt SP2 in cash games at DK. However, he also has a compelling case for cash usage at FD. Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado won't play in Toronto for this series, removing the Red Birds' elite hitters from their lineup. As a result, they should be a pushover.
Berrios has been erratic this season. Still, he's been in good form lately. This month, in four starts, Berrios has had a 3.09 ERA, 2.88 xFIP, 4.0 BB%, 29.3 K% and 31.6 CSW%. The righty should stay hot in this one.
GPP Recommendations:
Spencer Strider (ATL) at PHI
Strider hasn't skipped a beat moving from the bullpen to the rotation. In 10 starts totaling 50.0 innings, he's had a 3.42 ERA, 2.44 xFIP, 1.06 WHIP, 37.4 K% and 29.7 CSW%. Sure, the righty's numbers aren't as impressive as McClanahan's. Nevertheless, his strikeout rate as a starter has been better than McClanahan's mark, and Strider has a rock-solid matchup.
Over the last 30 days, the Phillies have been 21st in wRC+ (91). So, Strider's ceiling is comparable to McClanahan's, and the righty has a more affordable salary. That's the recipe for a high-upside GPP pivot.
Mike Clevinger (SD) at DET
Clevinger is also a sweet swerve in GPPs. In nine starts spanning 44.1 innings, the righty has had a 3.25 ERA, 3.80 SIERA, 1.08 WHIP, 25.0 K% and 28.0 CSW%. Clevinger has the literal ideal matchup tonight. The Tigers are dead last in wRC+ (66) against righties, adding a 24.2 K% to boot.
Finally, Clevinger's salary adds to his appeal. He's the best bargain of the four highlighted hurlers at FD. Moreover, he might be overlooked at $200 more on DK than Berrios against the Goldy and Arenado-less Cardinals. Even if he garners more attention than anticipated, his ceiling against the Tigers is appealing.
Top Lineup Stacks

- Home (Coors Field)
- Value: Low
- Risk: Medium
- Game Type: Both
- Game Total/Moneyline: Unlisted
The Rockies are hosting a struggling hurler, Michael Kopech. That's a recipe for fireworks. Kopech has allowed at least three runs in four of his last six games, pitching more than 5.1 innings in only one of those turns. During the righty's hideous stretch, he's walked 18 batters and struck out only 23 in 31.1 innings. Coors Field isn't the place for a struggling pitcher to turn things around. Thus, the Rockies should tee off on him tonight.
- Road (American Family Field)
- Value: Medium
- Risk: Medium
- Game Type: Both
- Game Total/Moneyline: Unlisted
The Twins are facing rookie lefty Ethan Small tonight. The 25-year-old southpaw was messy in his first big-league start on May 30, walking four batters, allowing four hits and ceding two runs in only 2.2 innings. Small's lousy control was an extension of his work in the upper minors. This year, he's walked 13.0% of the Triple-A hitters he's faced. The Twins are capable of punishing his propensity for issuing free passes.
- Home (Rogers Centre)
- Value: Low
- Risk: Low
- Game Type: Both
- Game Total/Moneyline: 9.0 Runs/TOR -210
Andre Pallante was successful in the bullpen for the Cardinals, but he's been unimpressive as a starter. In eight starts, he's had a 4.46 ERA. The righty has also yielded a .365 wOBA to righties. Thus, the righty-laden Blue Jays are in an excellent position for success in front of their home fans tonight.
- Kris Bryant has made up for a slow and injury-riddled start to the year with a heater since returning from the Injured List (IL). In 85 plate appearances from June 27 through July 24, he had a .388 OBP, .273 ISO, 161 wRC+ and five homers.
- Ryan McMahon has thrived at home with the platoon advantage. Sure, his 102 wRC+ under those conditions isn't special. However, McMahon's .235 ISO, .349 OBP, .364 wOBA and 34 homers in 723 plate appearances against righties at Coors Field have been excellent.
- Teoscar Hernandez has been on fire for nearly two months. In his last 201 plate appearances, he's smashed 11 homers with a .368 OBP, .277 ISO and 169 wRC+.
- Jose Miranda didn't hit the ground running in his rookie campaign. Nevertheless, he's hit, and hit, and hit some more since adjusting. Miranda has had a .364 OBP, .218 ISO and 157 wRC+ in his last 151 plate appearances.
- Carlos Correa has swung a hot stick since returning from the IL. In 210 plate appearances since his reinstatement on May 18, he's his 10 homers with a .367 OBP, .205 ISO and 145 wRC+.
- Nomar Mazara isn't anything special. Regardless, he's a cleanup hitter with a 113 wRC+ in 137 plate appearances in 2022. Mazara's production is more than gamers should expect for his salary.
Tuesday's Hitter Strategy
Mixing hitters from the Rockies, Twins and Blue Jays is a stellar move tonight. All three offenses have appealing options for all game types.
