Latest News:

We have been seeing a number of top closers struggle, whether that be due to their situations or their own production on the mound. That was the reasoning for dropping Holmes, Williams, Minter and Helsley all pretty significantly this week. Holmes’ last save came on April 12, Williams only has two saves in the last couple of weeks, Minter has allowed 10 runs in his last 3 2/3 innings pitched, and Helsley also had his last save come on April 12.

Raisel Iglesias began his rehab assignment on Thursday, so he could return soon to take back the closer role over Minter in the Braves bullpen.

Sewald has been the clear closer in the Mariners’ bullpen, but Munoz is expected to soon head out on his rehab assignment. When he is back, it’ll likely return to a committee between the two of them.
