Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft: Rome Odunze, J.J. McCarthy, Brock Bowers, Drake Maye

Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft: Rome Odunze, J.J. McCarthy, Brock Bowers, Drake Maye

The 2024 NFL Draft is less than three weeks away, and the rumor mill is on fire. More importantly, it means dynasty rookie drafts are almost here. While things will change during the NFL Draft, let’s dive into a 12-team, Superflex, half-point PPR dynasty rookie mock draft. Here’s the full mock draft. Below we check out a few notable picks.

2024 Dynasty Fantasy Football Guide

2024 Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft

Pick 1.05 – Rome Odunze (WR – Washington)

The former Washington star is one of my favorite prospects in this year’s draft class. Odunze would be the slam dunk first wide receiver picked in the NFL Draft and dynasty rookie drafts almost any other year. Thankfully, he is part of an outstanding wide receiver rookie class, allowing fantasy players to snag him in the mid-first round of dynasty rookie drafts. Odunze had over 1,600 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns last season, making him arguably the top wide receiver in the country.

Pick 1.06 – Drake Maye (QB – UNC)

Many believe Maye’s NFL Draft stock is starting to slip. Some mock drafts have him getting picked after J.J. McCarthy, while others have him going ahead of Jayden Daniels. His landing spot will play a massive role in whether or not I want to take Maye in my dynasty rookie drafts. Fantasy players should love to see him land with the Minnesota Vikings. Maye could have a C.J. Stroud-like rookie year throwing an elite receiving core in Minnesota.

Pick 1.07Brock Bowers (TE – Georgia)

Some in the fantasy football community will refuse to draft Bowers after getting burned by Kyle Pitts a few years ago. However, that would be a mistake. Bowers is an elite prospect who dominated defenses as a freshman in 2021, totaling over 880 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. While the star tight end could slide during the NFL Draft, fantasy players would be foolish not to make him a top-seven pick in dynasty rookie drafts.

Pick 1.08 – J.J. McCarthy (QB – Michigan)

McCarthy has been the biggest riser on NFL Draft boards over the past few months. After initially being a potential late first-round NFL Draft pick, the former Michigan star is a near top-five lock. While a few in the fantasy football community are skeptical about McCarthy, his NFL Draft capital will lock him into a mid-first-round pick in dynasty rookie drafts regardless of his landing spot.
