Fantasy Impact
McCarthy lost the competition for the starting QB job earlier this offseason to Kyler Murray, and now it appears that he didn't make a strong push for the job, as the team has opted to make him the third QB on their depth chart behind Carson Wentz as well. The team has left the door open to promoting him to backup at some point in the season, but he remains entirely irrelevant for fantasy purposes for the foreseeable future.
