Dynasty Draft Values: DBro’s Top 5 Quarterbacks
Jordan Love (QB – GB) | ADP: QB11, 216.5 Overall
Jordan Love broke out in his first year as a starter for Green Bay as the QB5 in fantasy points per game. The only reason Love isn’t ranked a tad higher is because we have only seen a small stretch of excellence for him, and he is currently slated to be an unrestricted free agent after this season. It feels like when and not if Green Bay will extend their young passer. Once that happens and it is backed with a longer track record of top-shelf play, he will be even more expensive in dynasty formats. In Weeks 10-18 last year, he was third in passing grade, second in passing touchdowns and big-time throw rate and seventh in clean pocket passer rating. Once Love looks amazing this season and gets locked up, his dynasty stock will soar.
Jayden Daniels (QB – WAS) | ADP: QB14, 24.5 Overall
A rookie quarterback with tangible rushing talent and an electric arm, and people don’t want to rank him as a top-12 dynasty quarterback. I don’t understand. At all. Jayden Daniels should be ranked in the same area code as Anthony Richardson (QB7) or near Kyler Murray (QB9). Are people worried about the offensive line? Ok, well, last year, they ranked 15th in pass blocking grade, and I can make an easy case this unit will be improved in 2024. Is this ranking centered around Daniels’ talent? Ok, well, let’s take the rushing cheat code out of the equation. Let’s talk about his talent as a passer. Last year, he was second in Pro Football Focus’ (PFF) passing grade, first in yards per attempt, third in big-time throw rate and first in clean pocket passer rating. I don’t know why people aren’t respecting his talent, but this creates a wonderful buying opportunity in dynasty startups. Buy him now.
Jared Goff (QB – DET) | ADP: QB18, 36 Overall
Jared Goff re-upped with Detroit for four years, with three years of good money on the contract. Goff is now tied to an offense for the next three years that ranked fifth in points per game, third in yards per play and sixth in red zone scoring attempts per game. Last year, Goff returned to the QB1 ranks as the QB11 in fantasy points per game. That was the third QB1 season he’s posted in his career. He looks primed to do it again. Last year, Goff ranked third in clean pocket passer rating, sixth in passer grade, 10th in yards per attempt and sixth in adjusted completion rate. The skill cupboards are stocked to the brim. Goff is set to smash again in Superflex as a QB1 in QB2 clothing.
