Ja’Marr Chase not planning to discuss contract with Bengals this season
Ja’Marr Chase is reportedly not planning to discuss contract with Bengals again this season.

Fantasy Impact

Chase said he believes the Bengals misled when he was told last season and this offseason that he would get an extension. It does not seem like Chase will holdout of any games despite not getting his extension.

Tua Tagovailoa has ‘no plans to retire’, seeing specialist
Tua Tagovailoa has no plans to retire. He is currently seeing concussion specialists, but there is no timetable for a return.

Fantasy Impact

Tagovailoa will continue to meet with specialists until they decide that he is healthy enough to return to action. Tua and the doctors are going to handle this situation with extreme caution, so there really is no clear timetable for a return to action. Skyler Thompson will remain the Dolphins’ starting QB in the meantime.

Daniel Jones: injury guarantee could push QB to the bench this season
Daniel Jones has a $23 million injury guarantee that becomes fully guaranteed if gets injured and is unable to pass a physical after the 2024 season.

Fantasy Impact

This is a similar situation that happened with Russell Wilson last season, who was benched down towards the end of the year to avoid an injury and the Broncos needing to pay the guarantee. Given how the Giants and Jones have looked so far this season, it wouldn’t be shocking to see this scenario play out towards the end of this year. Fantasy managers should have this in mind if they plan to rely on Jones late in the season, as he may be benched for this reason.
