Drake Maye named starting quarterback for Week 6
Drake Maye has been named the starting quarterback for Week 6 for the New England Patriots against the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Impact

Maye will receive his first opportunity starting behind center in the regular season after veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett struggled to generate offense on a consistent basis for first-year head coach Jerod Mayo. The first-round pick faces a stout Houston defense that held Buffalo in check in Week 5.

Justin Fields getting first-team reps
Justin Fields will start the week getting first-team reps despite Russell Wilson‘s full participation on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Head coach Mike Tomlin stated that Fields is getting the first-team reps to avoid any disruption to his preparation, implying that Fields could be the starter on Sunday’s matchup against the Raiders. Tomlin also said that the situation will be evaluated throughout the week and that no official decision has been made yet. If Fields starts in Week 6, he can be considered a low-end QB1 with high upside.

Spencer Rattler a possible start for injured Carr
Spencer Rattler is rumored to be the potential starter for the Saints in Derek Carr‘s absence.

Fantasy Impact

Although Jake Haener stepped in after Derek Carr was injured Monday night, the Saints are reportedly considering starting the rookie while Carr is out. Rattler rushed for over 1,000 yards in his collegiate career and will offer rushing upside in a Saints offense that has taken a step back after a hot start.
