2025 NFL Free Agency Signings & Fantasy Football Outlook
Samaje Perine Signs With Bengals
Samaje Perine is signing a two-year deal with the Bengals that could be worth up to $3.8 million, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. An eight-year NFL veteran, Perine played with the Bengals from 2019 through 2022. He played 17 games for the Chiefs last year and had 28 catches for 322 yards and a touchdown while serving primarily as a passing-down back. He had 20 carries for 92 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy Impact: The 29-year-old Perine isn’t likely to be fantasy-viable in 2025. Chase Brown is Cincinnati’s lead back, and the Bengals are probably going to tap into a deep RB class and add another running back in the draft. Brown was terrific for the Bengals last season but isn’t a very good pass blocker, so the addition of Perine as a third-down back makes sense.
Dyami Brown Joins Jaguars
The Jaguars are signing former Commanders WR Dyami Brown to a one-year, $10 million deal that could be worth as much as $12 million, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Brown is coming off the best season of his four-year NFL career, with 30 catches for 308 yards and one touchdown in 16 games. Brown took his game to another level in the playoffs, catching 14 passes for 229 yards and a touchdown in Washington’s three postseason games.
Fantasy Impact: Brian Thomas Jr. has established himself as the undisputed alpha receiver in Jacksonville after a triumphant rookie season, but Brown has the potential to be a productive complementary receiver if new head coach Liam Coen can work his magic on QB Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars’ passing game. It’s not clear whether Brown will play ahead of veteran Gabe Davis in two-receiver sets, but it’s a good bet Brown will be on the field in three- and four-receiver sets. Brown will be an intriguing late-round flyer in 2025 fantasy drafts.
Jimmy Garoppolo Re-Signs With Rams
The Rams have re-signed QB Jimmy Garoppolo to a one-year deal, according to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network. Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
An 11-year NFL veteran, Garoppolo will spend a second consecutive season with the Rams after appearing in one game last season. Garoppolo started for the Rams in Week 18 and completed 27-of-41 passes for 334 yards with two touchdowns and one interception against Seattle.
Fantasy Impact: Competent as a passer but completely immobile, Garoppolo is undraftable in fantasy leagues but might be worth picking up on waivers if Rams starter Matthew Stafford were to go down.
