Veteran quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is re-signing with the Los Angeles Rams on a one-year deal, returning to back up Matthew Stafford. (Ian Rapoport on Threads)
Fantasy Impact:
This always seemed like the obvious path as even when Stafford's trade rumors were active, Garoppolo was a common link to return to L.A. as a bridge option. Instead, Stafford returns with new money and Jimmy G is back for one year with an unspecified contract at this time. He played one game in 2024, a loss where he threw for 334 yards and two touchdowns. He has 64 career starts.
