Finding good streaming pitchers can be a weekly struggle. I aim to solve this headache during this season by finding the best pitchers, every week, who are on the waiver wire in most leagues. I will use the FantasyPros’ streaming pitchers tool to find league roster percentage information.

First, let’s take a look at last week’s picks:
- Shane Baz: 7.0 Innings, 6 Strikeouts, 2 Earned Runs, 3 Hits, 4 Walks (No Decision)
- Dustin May: 6.0 Innings, 1 Strikeout, 1 Earned Run, 3 Hits, 3 Walks (Loss)
- Erick Fedde: 6.0 Innings, 2 Strikeouts, 0 Earned Runs, 0 Hits, 4 Walks (No Decision)
- Tylor Megill: 4.0 Innings. 7 Strikeouts, 0 Earned Runs, 6 Hits, 3 Walks (Loss)
Total: 21.0 Innings, 16 Strikeouts, 3 Earned Runs, 9 Hits, 14 Walks (0-2, with two no decisions)
As far as first tries go, I think we had some great picks. The streamers did great, except for their poor control.
Without further delay, below are my picks for pitchers to stream during Week 4 — Monday, April 14th to Sunday, April 20th.
Fantasy Baseball Streaming Pitchers
Monday, April 14th
Landen Roupp (RP, SP – SF) at PHI | 5% Rostered
Landen Roupp should be getting a lot more publicity. He dominated the Minor Leagues, earning a 2.50 ERA and 13 K/9 across four seasons and all levels. The strikeout stuff is already on display for the 26-year-old, who has struck out 12 across 10 innings so far. The Phillies are a hard matchup, but Roupp is an enticing strikeout option.
Alternative: Taijuan Walker (SP – PHI) vs. SF | 10% Rostered
Tuesday, April 15th
Jeffrey Springs (SP – ATH) at CWS | 19% Rostered
Jeffrey Springs is an excellent streaming option against a rough White Sox team. In three starts, Springs has displayed volatility. The Athletic has flashed potential, such as his nine-strikeout scoreless performance against the Mariners.
However, the southpaw has also shown a low floor with his three-inning bust against the red-hot Cubs, where he allowed four runs. I trust the positive side of volatility against the White Sox.
Alternative: Randy Vasquez (SP – SD) vs. CHC | 2% Rostered
Wednesday, April 16th
Tyler Mahle (SP – TEX) vs. LAA | 4% Rostered
Some may remember Tyler Mahle before Tommy John surgery sidelined him for almost all of 2023 and 2024. The 30-year-old has always been a decent starter, and he is currently amid a nice stretch.
In his last two starts against the Cubs and Rays, Mahle combined to pitch 12 innings, allowing just one run and striking out nine batters. I feel confident streaming Mahle against the Angels, especially after he silenced the Cubs for seven innings.
Alternative: Matthew Boyd (SP – CHC) at SD | 11% Rostered
Thursday, April 17th
Tomoyuki Sugano (SP – BAL) vs. CLE | 7% Rostered
Tomoyuki Sugano, the 35-year-old MLB rookie, is looking like the Orioles’ ace after they lost many pitchers to injury. The term “ace” does not necessarily say much in this situation. However, Sugano seems to be adjusting to the Majors.
Sugano has a 2.89 ERA across two starts and has displayed hints of the phenomenal control he used in Japan. The ground ball pitcher is a high-floor, low-ceiling option against the Guardians.
Alternative: Jackson Jobe (SP, RP – DET) vs. KC | 20% Rostered
Friday, April 18th
Chase Dollander (SP – COL) vs. WSH | 7% Rostered
Chase Dollander displayed promise in his rookie debut against the Athletics. The Rockies youngster struck out six in five innings, reflecting the 12.8 K/9 he had in the Minors. A very strong caveat is the rest of Dollander’s line — he allowed four runs, seven hits and a walk. Dollander is a decent option, but streaming candidates from other days seem more reliable.
Alternative: Chad Patrick (SP – MIL) vs. ATH | 1% Rostered
Saturday, April 19th
Easton Lucas (RP – TOR) vs. SEA | 7% Rostered
Easton Lucas is a headscratcher on this list. The 28-year-old has a 6.28 ERA across 28.2 career MLB innings but has not allowed a single run in 10.1 innings this season. Lucas has been a “Quadruple-A” player for a long time and is finally finding success with the Blue Jays.
Based on advanced metrics and 10 seasons of playing history, Lucas will not uphold this level for long. Regardless, why not ride the hot streak against the Mariners?
Alternative: Landen Roupp (SP, RP – SF) at LAA | 5% Rostered
Sunday, April 20th
Logan Allen (RP – CLE) at PIT | 2% Rostered | @PIT
Logan Allen is just about average as a pitcher. He is one of those pitchers you see a lot for streaming lists, and he is on the waiver wire for a reason, but he has the potential to have a good start. I think it is a good bet Allen will have a solid outing against the Pirates, who currently are 5-8 and in the bottom 10 for runs scored and hits.
Alternative: Jeffrey Springs (SP – ATH) at MIL | 19% Rostered | @MIL
