Today’s MLB DFS & Player Props Picks
Wednesday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Hunter Greene (CIN) at ATL
Hunter Greene is dominating this year and is the best pitcher or one of the top pitchers on tonight’s DFS main slate by every meaningful metric. According to FanGraphs, among tonight’s probable starters, Greene is second in ERA (2.53), first in xERA (2.58), second in xFIP (3.08), first in SIERA (2.61), first in WHIP (0.82), second in walk rate (4.8 BB%) and first in strikeout rate (33.3 K%).
Greene’s matchup against Atlanta is average to below average. The Braves are 15th in wRC+ (104) with a 22.2 K% versus righties this year. However, they’re 10th in wRC+ (117) with a 20.1 K% at home this season. Still, the Reds are -110, and the game’s total is a non-threatening 8.0 runs.
Cristopher Sanchez (PHI) at TB
Cristopher Sanchez is grossly underpriced at DraftKings. The lefty validated his abbreviated breakout in 2023 with more impressive work in 2024. Yet, he’s tapped into another level this year. In six starts spanning 31.1 innings this season, Sanchez has had the following stats.
- 3.45 ERA
- 3.06 xERA
- 2.91 xFIP (the best among tonight’s probable starters)
- 2.99 SIERA
- 1.34 WHIP
- 8.1 BB%
- 28.9 K%
- 54.9 GB%
- Three wins
- Two quality starts
- 14.5 SwStr%
- 31.5 CSW%
- 115 stuff+
- 97 location+
- 113 pitching+
Sanchez has a sweet matchup tonight. The Rays are 26th in wRC+ (65) with a 22.4 K% versus lefties in 2025. They’re tied for 12th in wRC+ (114) with a 21.3 K% this year, but I’m more interested in their ineptitude against southpaws. Finally, the Phillies are -130, and the game’s total is 8.0 runs.
Michael Wacha (KC) vs. CWS
Michael Wacha is a solid if unspectacular starting pitcher. In seven starts spanning 38.1 innings this season, Wacha has a 3.52 ERA, 3.84 xERA, 4.42 xFIP, 4.48 SIERA and 1.25 WHIP. Additionally, in 102 innings at home since last year, Wacha has had a 2.91 ERA, 4.01 xFIP, 1.19 WHIP, 7.0 BB% and 20.6 K%.
Wacha is good enough to tie up a pitiful offense. The White Sox are under that umbrella, ranking 28th in wRC+ (83) with a 23.6 K% versus righties and tied for 26th in wRC+ (78) with a 24.8 K% on the road this year. The betting info is also splendid. The Royals are -218, and the game’s total is 8.5 runs.

Suggested Lineup Stacks
Yusei Kikuchi is one of the worst starting pitchers on tonight’s DFS main slate. He hasn’t gotten off to a good start in his new home with the Angels. In seven starts in 2025, Kikuchi has a 4.21 ERA, 4.92 xERA, 4.70 xFIP, 4.65 SIERA and 1.54 WHIP. In addition, he’s ceded a .315 wOBA to right-handed batters since last season, which isn’t imposing for Toronto’s righty-laden lineup. Finally, the Angels have the worst bullpen in MLB this year.
- Home (Target Field)
- Game Total/Moneyline: Unlisted/Unlisted
Charlie Morton will get the ball for the Orioles tonight. The 41-year-old righty looks like he’s hit the end of the line this year and is closer to getting designated for assignment than turning it around. In eight appearances (five starts) spanning 27.2 innings in 2025, Morton has a 9.76 ERA, 6.05 xERA, 5.42 xFIP, 5.23 SIERA and 2.20 WHIP. There’s no further explanation beyond Morton’s pathetic numbers needed for stacking the Twins.
Core Studs
- Gunnar Henderson has two homers, a .379 OBP, .246 ISO and 170 wRC+ in 66 plate appearances against righties this season.
- In 295 plate appearances against lefties since 2023, Vladimir Guerrero has hit 10 homers with a .403 OBP, .169 ISO and 145 wRC+.
- George Springer is tearing the cover off the ball this season, with four homers, five stolen bases, a .419 OBP, .224 ISO and 174 wRC+ in 119 plate appearances.
Value Plays/Punts

- In 75 plate appearances against righties this year, Jackson Holliday has hit four homers with a .347 OBP, .217 ISO and 147 wRC+.
- In 685 plate appearances against righties since 2023, Trevor Larnach has swatted 26 homers with a .339 OBP, .181 ISO and 118 wRC+.
