NBA DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Primer
NBA DFS Core Plays
Anthony Edwards (PG, SG – MIN)
- DraftKings: $9,400
- FanDuel: $9,600
Anthony Edwards is coming off a dominant performance against the Golden State Warriors, dropping 30 points in a game where the Minnesota Timberwolves built a sizeable lead, allowing him to sit for much of the fourth quarter. That extra rest could prove valuable as the series returns to Minnesota with a chance to close things out at home Wednesday. Edwards has been the offensive engine all series and should come out aggressive with the Timberwolves looking to finish strong in front of their home crowd.
From a DFS standpoint, Edwards has been a consistent force, putting up 47 or more DraftKings points in every game this series. His ability to score at all three levels while contributing across the stat sheet gives him one of the safest floors and highest ceilings on the slate.
Karl-Anthony Towns (PF, C – NYK)
- DraftKings: $8,000
- FanDuel: $7,600
Karl-Anthony Towns has quietly been one of the most consistent performers this series, recording a double-double in all four games against the Boston Celtics. He’s coming off his best scoring effort of the series with 23 points on Monday, showcasing his ability to step up when needed. Towns continues to anchor the New York Knicks’ frontcourt with efficient scoring and strong rebounding, and his steady production gives him a reliable floor.
At his current salary on both FanDuel and DraftKings, Towns offers solid value relative to his output. His balanced stat lines, combined with a secure role and 35+ minute upside, make him a strong option.

NBA DFS Cash Game Targets
Julius Randle (PF, C – MIN)
- DraftKings: $7,900
- FanDuel: $7,700
Julius Randle has been dominant through the last three playoff games against the Golden State Warriors, averaging 26.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 8.7 assists and 1.3 steals per contest. He’s been the driving force behind the Minnesota Timberwolves’ offense, attacking mismatches and creating opportunities as a scorer and facilitator. His efficiency has stood out during this stretch, and his versatility continues to give Golden State’s defense problems.
Jonathan Kuminga (PF – GSW)
- DraftKings: $5,500
- FanDuel: $5,500
With Steph Curry (hamstring) sidelined for the last three games, Jonathan Kuminga has stepped up as the Golden State Warriors’ leading scorer, averaging 23.8 points over that stretch. He’s been a spark off the bench, providing much-needed offensive firepower and attacking the rim with confidence. Kuminga’s athleticism and ability to create his own shot have been critical in keeping the Warriors afloat.
Going up against the Minnesota Timberwolves’ defense, Golden State will need Kuminga to maintain his high level of play to keep things competitive. His scoring surge and consistent usage make him a strong mid-range option.

NBA DFS GPP Targets
Derrick White (PG – BOS)
- DraftKings: $7,700
- FanDuel: $7,400
With Jayson Tatum sidelined following surgery to repair a torn right Achilles tendon, the Boston Celtics will need Derrick White to step up in a major way against the New York Knicks. In eight regular season games without Tatum, White saw a significant scoring bump, averaging 20.8 points compared to his season mark of 15.9. His ability to space the floor, initiate offense and attack mismatches makes him a well-rounded option with increased upside in Tatum’s absence.
White has been the most dependable player for the Boston Celtics this series outside of Tatum, and his role is set to expand even further. He’s expected to shoulder a heavy workload and maintain his strong play as the team leans on him for scoring.
Mikal Bridges (SG, SF – NYK)
- DraftKings: $6,200
- FanDuel: $6,400
Mikal Bridges has been brilliant throughout the series against the Boston Celtics, filling up the stat sheet on both ends of the floor. He’s averaging 14.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists and an impressive three steals per game, showcasing his versatility and defensive impact. Bridges’ energy has been unmatched, and his ability to contribute across multiple categories gives him a solid floor with upside.
What truly stands out is Bridges’ workload, he’s leading the team with 44 minutes per game, a testament to his importance in high-leverage situations. With his consistent playing time, strong defensive presence and growing offensive confidence, Bridges is an excellent mid-range option.

NBA DFS Value Plays
Kristaps Porzingis (PF, C – BOS)
- DraftKings: $5,000
- FanDuel: $5,400
With Jayson Tatum out of the lineup, Kristaps Porzingis is expected to see a significant uptick in usage and possibly return to the starting lineup. His impact when Tatum sits has been noticeable all season, as he’s averaged 23.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists in five regular season games without him — an increase of roughly five points, two boards and one dime per game. Porzingis offers a strong inside-out scoring threat, and Boston may need to lean on him more to stretch the New York Knicks’ defense and create mismatches.
Porzingis has been quiet throughout the series, mostly due to limited minutes, but that’s likely to change. With the Celtics down a key scorer, his role should expand, making 20+ minutes a realistic expectation. Increased court time should directly lead to a usage bump, and with his ability to produce in multiple categories, he becomes a high-upside option.
Donte DiVincenzo (PG, SG – MIN)
- DraftKings: $4,300
- FanDuel: $4,300
There aren’t many appealing sub-$4,500 options on this slate, but Donte DiVincenzo stands out as a viable punt play against the Golden State Warriors. He’s coming off a solid all-around effort with nine points, three rebounds, three assists and one steal, showing his ability to contribute across multiple stat categories. DiVincenzo logged 25 minutes in that outing and has now seen 25 or more minutes in three of the four games this series, a promising sign for his floor.
At his current price point, DiVincenzo offers flexibility for roster construction while still carrying enough upside to exceed value. His energy on both ends of the floor keeps him involved, and as long as the Minnesota Timberwolves continue to give him consistent run, he’s worth a look as a low-cost option in tournaments.
