Today’s MLB DFS & Player Props Picks
Tuesday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Robbie Ray (SF) vs. CLE
Robbie Ray is locked in. According to FanGraphs, Ray has had the following stats in his previous five starts spanning 31 innings.
- 1.74 ERA
- 2.85 xFIP
- 2.79 SIERA
- 0.90 WHIP
- Two wins
- Four quality starts
- 5.9 BB%
- 31.4 K%
- 14.7 SwStr%
- 30.3 CSW%
Ray has a cushy matchup and favorable betting info tonight. The Guardians are 23rd in wRC+ (77) with a 25.1 K% versus lefties and tied for 20th in wRC+ (92) with a 21.2 K% on the road in 2025. Cleveland is also tied for 24th in wRC+ (88) with a 23.6 K% in the previous 30 days. So, the Giants are -164, and the game’s total is 7.0 runs.
Spencer Schwellenbach (ATL) vs. NYM
Spencer Schwellenbach has a challenging matchup tonight. The Mets are fourth in wRC+ (117) with a 20.1 K% versus righties and fourth in wRC+ (110) with a 19.7 K% on the road this year.
Nevertheless, the Braves are -135, and the game’s total is 8.0 runs. The betting info makes sense since Schwellenbach is a talented pitcher. He’s especially good at home. In 19 career home starts spanning 117.2 innings, Schwellenbach has a 2.91 ERA, 2.82 xFIP, 0.99 WHIP, 3.2 BB% and 26.4 K%.
Will Warren (NYY) vs. LAA
Will Warren has much better underlying data than his 5.32 ERA in his previous five starts spanning 22 innings. The righty has a 3.65 xFIP and 3.70 SIERA in those starts. Additionally, Warren had a 29.9 K%, 28.8 CSW%, 103 stuff+, 96 location+ and 102 pitching+ in his past five starts.
Warren can pitch closer to his ERA estimators in a plus matchup tonight. The Angels are 23rd in wRC+ (96) with a 26.2 K% versus righties and 10th in wRC+ (102) with a 25.4 K% on the road this season. They were also tied for 16th in wRC+ (103) with a 25.4 K% in the previous 30 days. Finally, the Bronx Bombers are -250, and the game’s total is 9.0 runs. Warren is an intriguing SP2 in all game types on DraftKings.

Suggested Lineup Stacks
The Astros called up Jason Alexander after bumping up Ryan Gusto to start last night and placing Lance McCullers on the injured list (IL). Alexander had an 18.00 ERA, 9.74 xERA, 6.55 xFIP, 5.54 SIERA and 2.83 WHIP in four relief appearances for the Athletics this year. He’s pitched well in Triple-A this year, but had a 4.42 ERA and 4.09 xFIP in 29 appearances (27 starts) in Triple-A last season. So, the Athletics can light up the scoreboard tonight.
- Road (Sutter Health Park)
- Game Total/Moneyline: 11.0 Runs/HOU -121
I suggested stacking the Astros yesterday, when Roster Resource projected JP Sears to start. Sears is getting the ball tonight, and the Astros are an appealing stack. In the lefty’s last five starts, he’s had an 8.75 ERA, 4.58 xFIP, 4.38 SIERA and 1.56 WHIP. Since last year, Sears has also coughed up a .339 wOBA to 876 plate appearances to righties.

In 444 plate appearances against lefties since 2023, Matt Olson has hit 24 homers with a .315 OBP, .244 ISO and 120 wRC+. He’s not a slouch in same-handed matchups. David Peterson is typically tough on lefties, but Olson has had his number. According to Baseball Savant, Olson has hit four homers and drawn three walks with a .250 batting average, .269 expected batting average (xBA), 1.000 SLG, .918 expected slugging (xSLG), .541 wOBA and .520 expected wOBA (xwOBA).

Nick Kurtz: 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs – Higher
Kurtz has homered in back-to-back games. He’s surpassed 1.5 hits plus runs and RBIs in 16 of 34 games in his rookie season, but gets a lift from his hitter-friendly home ballpark and facing Alexander. Houston’s righty has coughed up a .444 batting average, .545 OBP, .944 SLG and .607 wOBA to 22 lefties since last season.
