Valdez’s matchup is midpack. While the Phillies are eighth in wRC+ (109) with a 21.7 K% versus lefties, they’re also 18th in wRC+ (94) with a 21.4 K% on the road in 2025. Philadelphia was also 14th in wRC+ (102) with a 20.7 K% in the previous 30 days. Thus, the Astros are -142, and the game’s total is 7.5 runs.
Kris Bubic (KC) vs. TB
Kris Bubic is amid an eye-catching breakout campaign. He’s had the following stats in 14 starts spanning 85 innings this year.
- 2.12 ERA
- 3.08 xERA
- 3.44 xFIP
- 3.56 SIERA
- 1.12 WHIP

The Rays have been MLB’s best offense in the previous 30 days. Nevertheless, they’re 14th in wRC+ (93) with a 23.2 K% versus lefties and 17th in wRC+ (96) with a 23.4 K% on the road this year. Therefore, the Royals are -144, and the game’s total is 8.5 runs.
Justin Verlander (SF) vs. MIA
Justin Verlander is a palatable low-salaried SP2 on DraftKings. He’s primarily a matchup and betting info-driven pick. The Marlins are 24th in wRC+ (95) with a 21.4 K% versus righties and tied for 12th in wRC+ (98) with a 21.0 K% on the road this year. Miami was also 23rd in wRC+ (90) with a 19.4 K% in the previous 30 days.
Even though Verlander hasn’t pitched particularly well this year, the Giants are -185, and the game’s total is a modest 8.0 runs. Finally, Verlander’s 11.6 SwStr%, 27.4 CSW% and 106 stuff+ are encouraging marks within an otherwise underwhelming statistical profile this year.

Suggested Lineup Stacks
Frankie Montas is making his first start of the year for the Mets after opening the season on the 60-day Injured List (IL). In four Triple-A starts this season, Montas has a 13.19 ERA, 6.63 xFIP and 2.23 WHIP. The veteran righty has also coughed up eight homers in only 14.1 innings in Triple-A this season. The Braves are in an eruption spot tonight.
- Home (Rate Field)
- Game Total/Moneyline: 9.0 Runs/CWS +135
The White Sox have an abundance of affordable hitting options to stack in a decent matchup. Ryne Nelson‘s 3.34 ERA in six starts this year starkly contrasts his 4.76 xFIP and 5.05 SIERA. His 15.1 K% and 10.1 BB% in his starts are also dreadful marks. I always love stacking against pitchers with considerably worse underlying data than their surface stats, anticipating the other shoe dropping. The White Sox don’t have a potent offense, but Nelson is due for regression to his ERA estimators, making Chicago a nifty stack.
Core Studs
- Matt Olson has had a .377 OBP, .264 ISO and 145 wRC+ versus righties since 2023.
- Ronald Acuna has belted nine bombs with 30 runs, 16 RBIs, three stolen bases, a .500 OBP, .317 ISO, .510 wOBA and 232 wRC+ in 122 plate appearances this season.
- Drake Baldwin has hit eight homers with 17 runs, 25 RBIs, a .354 OBP, .187 ISO, .364 wOBA, .355 expected wOBA (xwOBA) and 132 wRC+ in 164 plate appearances this year.
Value Plays/Punts
- Miguel Vargas has hit four homers with 19 runs, 12 RBIs, two stolen bases, a .331 OBP, .245 ISO and 131 wRC+ in his previous 118 plate appearances.
- Rookie Chase Meidroth has hit two homers with 25 runs, nine RBIs, nine stolen bases, a .351 OBP, .054 ISO and 96 wRC+ this season. Still, those marks aren’t too shabby for a punt who hits second in his lineup.
- Andrew Benintendi has hit eight homers with 23 runs, 29 RBIs, a .299 OBP, .317 wOBA, .356 xwOBA and 103 wRC+ in 205 plate appearances this season.

Matt Olson: 8.5 Fantasy Points – Higher
In addition to Olson’s previously mentioned dominance against righties, he’s hit 15 homers with 45 runs, 49 RBIs, a .359 OBP, .225 ISO, .363 wOBA, .395 expected wOBA (xwOBA) and 132 wRC+ in 337 plate appearances this year. Conversely, Montas coughed up a .374 wOBA to 342 left-handed batters last season.
Drake Baldwin: 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs – Higher
Montas struggled mightily on his rehab assignment and should provide the Braves with ample run-scoring opportunities. Left-handed-hitting catcher Baldwin can get in on the fun. The rookie catcher has 34 hits, a .336 OBP, .154 ISO and 114 wRC+ in 134 plate appearances against righties this season.
Freddie Freeman has belted nine bombs with 40 runs, 41 RBIs, a .392 OBP, .201 ISO and 152 wRC+ in 283 plate appearances this year. He’ll get lifts from playing at Coors Field and facing German Marquez tonight. Marquez has ceded a .362 wOBA to 195 left-handed batters since last season.
