While it may be a bit too early to start drafting in your home redraft leagues, many dynasty leagues are in the process or will be completing their rookie drafts shortly. Let’s take a look at my most recent 12-team Superflex fantasy football dynasty rookie mock draft.

Superflex Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft
Before we get into my picks, your strategy in a dynasty rookie draft should depend on your current roster. If you are in win-now mode, look for players with promising roles from day one or trade for already established players.
If you are rebuilding, you may want to stockpile as many picks as you can and draft rookies with promising futures or high ceilings, even though they may not have a direct path to playing time this season.
1.03: Omarion Hampton (RB – LAC)
In most cases, Ashton Jeanty will be the No. 1 overall pick, regardless of the scoring format, which was the case in this draft.
Cam Ward went second, which is not surprising in Superflex.
With the third pick, I had my choice of Omarion Hampton, Travis Hunter or Tetairoa McMillan. You could make an argument for any one of these three, but with the wide receiver class being a bit deeper, I decided to go with Hampton.
Hampton is the No. 2 back in this class behind Jeanty, with the only negative hanging above his head being that he has to compete with Najee Harris for touches.
We know Jim Harbaugh loves to run the ball, and if anything happens to Harris, the former Tar Heel will be the featured back and should thrive in the Chargers’ run-first offense.
2.03: Matthew Golden (WR – GB)
As mentioned, this wide receiver class is a lot deeper than the running back class. Passing on both Hunter and McMillan and still landing Matthew Golden in the second round is huge.
It’s safe to say McMillan is the No. 1 wideout in this draft class, but Hunter, Emeka Egbuka, Luther Burden III and Golden are not far behind.
Golden is in line to make an impact right away for the Packers. Christian Watson is coming off a torn ACL and should miss the majority of the upcoming season, which should allow Golden to slide right into the starting lineup.
The former Texas Longhorn ran a 4.29 40-yard dash at the combine, giving Jordan Love and the Packers’ offense another downfield threat.
3.03: Mason Taylor (TE – NYJ)
While Mason Taylor doesn’t have prolific profiles such as Colston Loveland or Tyler Warren, he does find himself in a fantasy-friendly spot with the New York Jets.
New Jets head coach Aaron Glenn came over from the Detroit Lions and witnessed firsthand how dynamic a pass-catching tight end can be.
Assuming Justin Fields is the starting quarterback in New York, that will be good news for Taylor, as Fields tends to look towards the tight end more than the average quarterback.
In the two years he started 13+ games in Chicago, tight end Cole Kmet led the team in targets in 2022 and finished second behind DJ Moore in 2023.
4.03: Dillon Gabriel (QB – CLE)
Being this is a SuperFlex mock draft, I felt like I had to take a shot on a quarterback with my last pick, and the pickings were slim.
Despite being in a crowded quarterback room, I went with Browns third-round pick Dillon Gabriel. Outside of Cleveland’s other rookie quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, sliding to the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, Gabriel being drafted in the third round was the most surprising headline of the draft.
The Browns had a high grade on the former Oregon Duck, which makes me think they give him every opportunity to get snaps with the starters, despite having Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco and Sanders on their roster.
