Finding good starting pitchers can be a weekly struggle. I aim to solve this headache during this season by finding the best pitchers, every week, who are on most waiver wires. I use the FantasyPros streaming pitchers tool to find league roster percentage information.

First, let’s take a look at last week’s picks:
- Kyle Bradish (@SD) 4.0 Innings, 5 Strikeouts, 2 Earned Runs, 4 Hits, 2 Walks (No Decision)
- Emmet Sheehan (@PIT) 4.2 Innings, 6 Strikeouts, 2 Earned Runs, 5 Hits, 2 Walks (Loss)
- Zebby Matthews (vs. CWS) 6.0 Innings, 5 Strikeouts, 1 Earned Run, 3 Hits, 2 Walks (No Decision)
Total: 14.2 Innings, 16 Strikeouts, 5 Earned Runs, 12 Hits, 6 Walks (0-1)
So far, so good. A few pitchers, such as Dustin May and Ian Seymour, were converted to bulk relievers for this past week, so we have a much smaller sample size compared to usual. Regardless, the starters had decent performances, especially Zebby Matthews’ quality start. Let’s aim for more quality starts as the fantasy baseball playoffs continue.
Without further delay, below are my picks for pitchers to stream during Week 24, from Monday, September 8th through Sunday, September 14th.
Fantasy Baseball Streaming Pitchers
Monday, September 8th
Jacob Latz (SP – TEX) vs. MIL | 0% Rostered
Jacob Latz is a decent streaming option on a day without many games. Latz is a reliever-turned-starter who has pitched a decent chunk of innings in each of his last three outings. Latz worked his way up to 5.1 innings in a solid performance against the Diamondbacks, where he allowed two runs.
Latz is facing the Brewers, who have a top-10 team OPS of .741. However, Latz has a great 3.15 ERA and 1.28 WHIP, and has been able to limit damage against dangerous teams so far. Latz is not the best streamer on this list, but he is a valid option.
Alternative: Cade Cavalli (SP – WSH) @ MIA | 3% Rostered
Tuesday, September 9th
Kyle Bradish (SP – BAL) vs. PIT | 15% Rostered
Kyle Bradish is one of the most promising streaming options this season. The star looks sharp returning from injury, striking out 15 across his first 10 innings this season. He is shining in ways similar to his 2023 season, where he finished fourth in the American League Cy Young voting. It seems like a wonderful idea to start the returning star against the Pirates, who have an MLB-worst team OPS of .661.
Alternative: Noah Cameron (SP – KC) @ CLE | 29% Rostered
Wednesday, September 10th
Payton Tolle (SP – BOS) @ ATH | 14% Rostered
Payton Tolle is a rookie with a lot of potential. The Red Sox prospect shined in his debut, striking out eight Pirates across 5.1 innings. The 22-year-old lefty can touch 99 miles per hour (MPH) on his fastball and has great strikeout rates. Tolle has a career 13.1 K/9 ratio in the Minors and seems to be living up to it so far in the Majors. Stream Tolle against the Athletics and consider keeping him for the rest of the season.
Alternative: Tyler Wells (SP – BAL) vs. PIT | 1% Rostered
Thursday, September 11th
Ian Seymour (SP – TB) @ CWS | 8% Rostered
Ian Seymour is another enticing reliever-turned-starter. The rookie has found great success in his most recent two starts, allowing just one run over 10 innings. He has struck out 16 and has 42 strikeouts across 33.1 innings this season. Seymour has great potential, and he is facing the 52-88 White Sox, who have a weak team OPS of .679. Seymour is a great streaming option.
Alternative: Johan Oviedo (SP – PIT) @ BAL | 1% Rostered
Friday, September 12th
Martin Perez (SP – CWS) @ CLE | 5% Rostered
Martin Perez has been great for the White Sox in August after missing all of May, June and July due to a left flexor strain. The lefty is back and better than ever, allowing only three runs across 21.2 innings in August. He had 21 strikeouts. Stream the 34-year-old veteran against the Guardians, who have the second-lowest team OPS of .662.
Alternative: Luis Gil (SP – NYY) @ BOS | 30% Rostered
Saturday, September 13th
Ryne Nelson (SP – ARI) @ MIN | 21% Rostered
Ryne Nelson is on a hot streak. The Diamondbacks starter has thrown three consecutive quality starts, striking out 16 in those 18 innings. The Twins are a team with solid offensive stats that are about MLB average, but Nelson’s 3.57 ERA and 1.05 WHIP across 131 innings this season indicate he has the track record to put together a good start.
Alternative: Davis Martin (SP – CWS) @ CLE | 2% Rostered
Sunday, September 14th
Slade Cecconi (SP – CLE) vs. CWS | 5% Rostered
Slade Cecconi is a riskier streamer, but his opponent makes him a decent quality start option. Cecconi is facing the White Sox, who have a bottom-three offense in baseball. Cecconi has struggled against some teams this season. He has a 4.78 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP to show for it. Cecconi is not the best option on this list. Regardless, Cecconi should be a solid option against one of the worst teams in baseball.
Alternative: Kyle Bradish (SP – BAL) @ TOR | 15% Rostered
